No, but it is the best food in WW
Average price is about $30 for an entree. Call or email them from their website to ask about gift certificates
Leave a name and number and they respond daily after 2 pm. Best restaurant in SE WA
Service was fine, nothing standout, but not a bad experience.
Prices are reasonable for the offerings. Worth every penny :).
Been to dinner here many times and always happy. Highly recommend.
One of the best restaurants in Washington State. Great, friendly staff.
An amazing culinary experience. Highly recommend. You can tell that every ingredient is chosen with utmost care, from the spices and herbs to the meats and veggies and blended or cooked to perfection. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it.
Great atmosphere ! Food was delicious. My friend and I both had the Lamb and it was delightful! Thank you Corey for your helpful suggestions with both the menu and drink selections.
Excellent cuisine; the Northwest Hangar steak with roasted potatoes and caperberry sauce was tangy and flavorful. Very enjoyable. Service was friendly and helpful. Would certainly dine there again.
The food was amazing here but service was an issue. I was ID'd for a drink (no big deal) but the server, who was also a manager, would not accept my Canadian drivers license, even though it is an acceptable piece of ID according to state liquor laws. I didn't have my passport with me, so I tried to explain that we had done our research and the license should be fine. She doubled down instead, and for the rest of the meal was sour towards us. Every other restaurant and winery in Walla Walla didn't bat an eye at the license, and when we spoke about our experience at Saffron, they agreed that her behaviour was ridiculous. It's really too bad, because the food was great and it wasn't even really about the drink! It is hard to support a place where management is so hard-minded.
A really great place in Walla Walla to have a delicious meal. They have a large selection of wines, both local and international. The oysters were so fresh and the blood orange salad was full of flavor. The paella could of feed two people and the pasta was just as filling. A little more high end but a really wonderful place to have a romantic dinner or to end a fruitful day of wine tasting!!
They may have had the best tangine ever had in my life! Cocktails were perfect. Not to strong and beautifully mixed
Excellent service and food was good but waaay over salted. Noticeably. Octopus was meager and swimming in a red sauce but the steak was awesome and tomato salad was stellar.
Fantastic flavors. Try everything! Especially loved the Egyptian Chicken.
Good Food and Service But very noisy!
Best birthday dinner. Wait staff was amazing and just right on attentiveness. Food amazing. Need to try the halibut! Amazing. Thank you for a great memory!
Wow! Amazing experience! Excellent fresh and creative menu with a wonderful wine list. The Saffron Fizzy Bubbly probably the yummiest cocktail EVER! They have really gone to extra effort making a cozy, clean, artistic and inviting environment.
I dig this place because the food and ambiance is the chill, loungy and yet classy place to be, it's just very comfortable here.
Food was delicious and the service was great. There were hardly any people there just after opening. They would probably get a lot more business if they opened before 2pm. Had some delicious butternut squash pasta and a rather tasty root beer from somewhere down under. Be prepared with your credit card, it's pretty pricey.
My new benchmark, great flavors
The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and the cuisine isn't the Mediterranean fare that you think you know. The portions are a nice size and the dishes have a wonderful flavor. They also have a menu of unique cocktails to enjoy.
Food is good but overpriced, owner is rude will not be returning!!
Best dinner out in a long time! We had the best seat in the house at the bar where we could watch the cooking and food prep, the aromas were amazing. We had the Leg of Lamb Steak and the Tagliatelle...both were delicious, portions just right.
Do not go here. Just don't bother. This horrible small-town restaurant does not deserve your business. They claimed not to take reservations when we called ahead, then turned up to an empty restaurant and was told there was no room as 'everyone had reservations' and we were welcome to wait on the street, but the wait was over an hour, minimum. Incredibly rude: do not bother.
Fantastic dinner and fantastic service. Tried the special appetizer and went tapas style sharing plates. Had a delicious Basque Cider and the Beef Cheeks were amazing. A seriously good meal here with incredibly preparation and delivery. A must try in Walla Walla!
What a surprising gem in Walla Walla. We love fine dining and are always excited to find something delicious in our travels. The food was interesting, well plated, and delightful! We like to create our own tasting menu of sorts by ordering primarily off the appitizer menu. That strategy did not fail us this time. Beef check, lamb and beef tartar, octopus, and roasted quail were DIVINE! If you like fine food; this is a MUST. We will be back.
Loved the contemporary style along with delicious dishes. The patatas bravas were a hit and was a sufficient app for 5 people. Mu main was Mediterranean spiced lamb on a bed of pasta. It was fantastic. Nice wine selection.
Exceptional food, cocktails, and service. And the space is beautiful. It was so good, we are going back tomorrow.
Reservations required. We made a reservation for our group of 8. There was a bit of paperwork involved in doing it that our whole group thought was ridiculous. However, when we arrived 5 min early, we found our table set and ready for us to be seated. Our server was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable of the menu and had a good knowledge of the wine list. The food was great. Our group of 8 talked of this meal for the rest of our trip. We quickly forgot about the paperwork we had to fill out.PS - Something we noticed in Walla Walla is that the pace of dinner is almost European. The meals are generally slower and take about 30 min more than most places in the US. This was not a fault of our server, she was awesome.
Our favorite restaurant in town. Make reservations or you may not get in. Great wine selection, cocktails and food. Locally grown and curated food expertly crafted and prepared. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and share their passion for the food and drinks.
Mediterranean dishes in a NW setting. Good cocktails, nice wine list, awesome food. Our server was helpful and attentive but didn't hover. Distinctive atmosphere and not too loud to converse. We had a great time.
Quite delicious! Oysters were on point, the cacio e pepe was amazing, and oh my the spice pear cake was delectable. Saffron exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come back next time we are in Walla Walla.
The environment is a welcoming, upscale Mediterranean rustic with modern touches in the lighting, which is to say there are no candles. The menu is local, sustainably sourced, and seasonal; there are many opportunities to eat outside the box, but for those not super adventurous, there are many options. Recommend the duck or the linguini with clams. Saffron hits their wine list out of the park - stay local with labels from the PNW, or travel Europe in a bottle.
Unique and delicious dishes for all prices and pellets. I was able to find gluten friendly options as well. The desserts were spectacular. That chocolate mousse with creamy, not fluffy and just to die for.
For the third year in a row, fantastic service by Kimmy and incredible food. Thank you for making an annual Walla Walla trip complete with such a memorable dining experience!
The halibut was very fresh and perfectly prepared; the tomato, peach salad is something one must try
Fantastic quality and service. We come from the Spokane area for Saffron. ❤
Saffron came highly rated and recommended by several before our trip to Walla Walla. It did not disappoint, their new space on Main Street is very fitting to the unique and intreging Mediteranian menu. I had the strip steak which was amazing tender and memorable with olive tapenade.
Wonderful food and delightful service. We were on a day trip and looking for something out of the ordinary. The Saffron Kitchen did not disappoint. The flavor combinations were wonderful. Save room for dessert-- the sea salt chocolate mousse was the best we've ever tasted!
This restaurant is an explosion of flavor. From the sauces to the meat to the octopus, each bite is a savory expression of joy. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. There is something on the menu for every one. Service is fantastic! Plating is artful. All the flavors swirl in your mouth.shadow
Great food. Great service. A bit of a wait time to get your food, but the servers keep you entertained with good conversation and great food and drink recommendations.
I wanted to like this place, but it was generally underwhelming. The staff was excellent and customer service forward, but the food did not meet expectations. The salads and side dishes were off balance in different ways. One would be too sour, while the other onion and parsley heavy. The mushroom side dish did not go well with the pork chop (the side was also too sour), and had a strange smokiness to it with no char. The heavy use of basalmic was acid heavy, and tasted cheap as it didn't impart any sweetness as to balance the dishes. The beef tongue was good, but lacked regional authenticity. At the current price point, I would not go there again.
Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere, packed with people. The ever present owner very attentive to all details. A wonderful experience.
Saffron was a wonderful way to treat ourselves. The mixed drink menu offered a lot of variety and were enjoyable both by themselves and in concert with dinner. Dinner itself was exquisite, full of wonderful and unique pairings that made each dish a delight. Highly recommended for people into trying things new or those who prefer to fall back on some more tried and true favorites with a twist!
Amazing service, incredible food, and memorable experience - whether it's a weekday evening or a special occasion.
We had a great experience. The food and service both are exceptional! The menu is online and social distancing is well practiced. We got the Lahmacun, Beef cheek, Wood grilled octopus and Portuguese chocolate mousse. Would recommend everything we got, a must try in walla walla:)
Hard to understand the menu if your not familiar with Spanish. But, the food and service was great. The restaurant was over air conditioned. We were cold on a 90 degree evening.
Perhaps one of the best restaurants in the state. Easily beats most high end restaurants in seattle that are twice the price. Med. Influenced menu. Terrific lamb and vegetables. Great wine list. You need reservations and they are sticklers for timeliness: don’t be late.
We asked to split a salad, it came out on one plate with no extra plate. The older gentleman server looked at us like we were crazy when we asked for an extra plate. The hanger steak was almost raw we ordered it medium I had to send it back to be recooked. We do not think they have the credentials to ask for a $30 deposit if you don't show up for your reservation. We definitely did not feel like a guest here.
Outstanding. There were four of us and we all had two brown trays, everything was delicious. There was something to do with an appetizer involving feta cheese and a romesco-like sauce of red peppers, I don't think it was a romesco but it was out of this world. Service is great food was outstanding. the next time through Walla Walla I'll definitely be back
Amazing tapas style food with great cocktails and excellent wait staff! Try the amaros for desert, it's an apertif list that the head waitress curates as her pet project.
The flavors are just endless. Every single dish just adds an explosion of something new in every single bite. Order as many courses as you can stomach. The wine list pairs so well with the food. Some of it can seem esoteric, but take a chance. Service is delightful. I always feel so welcomed. Bravo.
OMG!!! The most amazing flavors - deserves a Michelin star (WAY more than Uncle Boons in NYC). Inventive with delicious twists on Mediterranean/Turkish classics. We were a party of four with very different palates and everyone was beyond thrilledThank you!
